so my home computer is down. i imagine the number of DS doodles will increase. i'm gonna see how long i can go without a computer. i'm surprisingly okay without one. kinda puts the mightyrobot "book" on delay though. i was having second thoughts about that anyways.

The Unhappy Cupid #1
wouldn't it be ironic if cupid was really this lonely, manic depressive a-hole. i think it would be ...AND HOW!

... to be continued?

i did this for the latest ea artists blog topic. it's inspired by baron samedi, dia de los muertes, jazz funerals, and sylvia ji's stuff. word.

back to speaking about french illustrators, veronique meignaud is pretty amazing! i found her stuff by accident, but was pretty floored.

in other news, i got a bike! so if you see me rolling by, get the hell out of the way. i haven't ridden one in over a decade. somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad.

i did this on a nintendo DS!

it's funny how i've avoided buying one for so long, but as soon as i tried this, the credit card came out lickety split. it works and feels a lot better than i thought it would.

i was looking at a bunch of claire wendling illustrations and got inspired. in particular, this one. they're all pretty freakin awesome though. those frenchies sure got their shit down pat.

i made an honest effort to keep things simple this time. i think i get too preoccupied with painting sometimes. i tried for the most part just using flat color. that didn't work out ...but whatever. you're not the boss of me!

if you haven't seen an Extra Action Marching Band show. i highly recommend it. it's complete and utter madness. it's like a 13 person band complete with tubas, trombones and drum sets. there were flag bearers, burlesque cheerleaders, three chicks in bodysuits and rubber masks, a popcorn canon, and they just don't play up on stage. they march through the crowd, which is not an easy feat at 12 galaxies. it was truly a sight to behold... and there's a good chance there'll be some toplessness by the end of the show.
...
i kinda went crazy with filters and color balances on this one. if you're interested, here're the originals.
in other news, i sold a print at the loan office show. note to self: chicks prints do better than robot prints. another lesson learned.
